Tomb of the Basilisk

An updated personal piece inspired by the Chamber of Secrets from Harry Potter. I put most of my attention on the lighting of the scene to emphasize the foreboding mood and sense of tension between the creature and the character. I blocked out the scene in Blender using a free asset pack and used multiple lighting passes to use as reference in photoshop for the paintover, pushing and pulling the highlights and shadows to find the right balance of contrast.
