Walkthrough
I was inspired by the Silent Hill series and the new Silent Hill 2 remake to create a similar horror-themed environment.
I started by gathering references from the series and other abandoned hospital/morgue images and created some concept images to dial in the tone and subject matter of the scene.
Once I was confident in the direction I wanted to go, I made a block out of the scene in Blender and identified all of the assets I would need to build the scene modularly, iterating and adding the pieces I needed.
Working in Unreal I built out the environment and dialed in the camera and lighting settings, using existing Megascans assets and custom Quixel materials to develop the scene before finally rendering out my shots and doing a final edit in Davinci Resolve.
Addition assets from the Unreal Marketplace were made by Game-Ready
